Designs, develops, and verifies FPGA and ASIC solutions supporting space-based systems, including RTL development, simulation, and hardware integration for mission-critical aerospace applications.Job Requirements:
Position Details- Space Systems / Aerospace Engineering
- Contract - Approximately 8 Months
- 1st Shift (4/10 Schedule; Hybrid Potential)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- $89.13 - $110.00 Hourly Education & Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
- Experience synthesizing and building designs based on Microchip and Xilinx/AMD FPGA targets: UltraScale Plus, RT Polarfire, Versal, RTG4
- Experience with Libero, Vivado, and Synopsys Tools (Simulation, Lint/CDC, and Synthesis)
- Design experience using the following languages: Verilog, SystemVerilog, and VHDL
- Quick learner, someone who can get up to speed quickly with current designs, and the ability to quickly understand requirements documentation
- Experience with debugging designs both in the lab and in a simulation environment, and willingness to work with other teams to debug designs
- Experience with Space Wire
- Willingness to work on Circuitware document for milestone review prep (Requirements documentation, analysis, presentation materials)
- Experience using Python Job Duties & Functions
- Develops RTL code and supporting scripts for FPGA and ASIC implementations
- Designs and implements FPGA solutions for space-rated and radiation-hardened devices
- Performs simulation, debugging, and validation of FPGA designs in lab and virtual environments
- Collaborates with systems and verification engineers to define requirements and validate designs
- Supports integration of FPGA designs into hardware platforms
- Prepares and maintains design documentation, test data, and technical deliverables
- Participates in design reviews, technical meetings, and milestone activities
- Assists in the development of the concept of operations and system-level design requirements
