The organization specializes in aerospace systems, avionics software, safety-critical engineering, modeling and simulation, and embedded systems development for mission-critical applications.

The Endicott location focuses on embedded avionics software development, verification, hardware-in-the-loop testing, flight control system integration, and DO-178C compliant engineering for major aerospace and defense programs. This site supports customers across commercial aviation, military aviation, rotorcraft, unmanned systems, engine control systems, and advanced flight control technologies.

As an Avionics Engineer II, you will support embedded software integration, verification, and system-level testing for next-generation avionics and engine control systems used in high-reliability aerospace platforms.

Key ResponsibilitiesPerform software integration and verification for embedded avionics, engine control, and flight control systems in a structured lab environment.

Develop and execute requirements-based test procedures aligned with DO-178C standards, ensuring full traceability through DOORS.Use C code, shell scripts, and customer-provided scripts to build, test, and automate verification workflows on simulation and hardware test benches.

Debug hardware and software interactions using emulators, debuggers, and diagnostic tools to evaluate system behavior at the lowest operational levels.

Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to review requirements, analyze system performance, and support system-level testing in avionics labs.

Required and Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience.

Proficiency in C, Linux shell scripting, or similar scripting languages used for embedded software testing.

Experience developing formal test cases and procedures for safety-critical or embedded systems.

Hands-on experience debugging embedded hardware and software in lab or simulation environments.

Familiarity with tools such as VectorCast, Green Hills, Python, GitHub, Synergy, or DOORS is a strong plus.
