Position Summary As a Systems Engineering & Verification Engineer, you will be the focal point of understanding and developing Engineering products and services. As part of this role, you will be expected to interface across multiple stakeholders both internally and externally to extract and understand technical requirements to develop potential solutions which can be used to serve business and customer needs. As part of this team, you will explore and deploy Systems Engineering practices within the company through creation, development, project management, control account management, and execution of a structured verification strategy. What you will be doing Systems Engineering across the entire project lifecycle. Ensure robust understanding of requirements and associated definition of the Rolls-Royce Enterprise and System. Establish an appropriate, robust, and traceable requirements and verification structure that joins relevant information across multiple business areas and groups. Guide the project/program team on System Thinking and the Systems Engineering approach to defining solutions, ensuring they address the full set of requirements. Work with internal and external stakeholders on structured verification related topics. Provide Project Management support to system engineering work packages within the Whole Engine team Responsible for control account management for engineering work packages
Basic Requirements:
Bachelors of Science degree in STEM/ Engineering and 1+ years of engineering experience OR Masters of Science degree in STEM/Engineering and 0 years of experience OR JD/Ph.D. In order to qualify for this role, must be a US citizen
Preferred Requirements:
2+ years of experience in gas turbine engine development 2+ years of experience in technical project management or systems engineering Demonstrated project planning and management experience and ability to work without supervision on an extended, multifunctional engineering project team Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills Experience with IBM DOORS and system verification Our vision is to ensure that the quality and dynamism that shaped our history continues into our future.
