Job Description

Full-Time Scottsdale, AZ Competitive Salary Apply to hr@pacewater.com Description PACE is seeking a Design Engineer with a focused background in water resources (water and wastewater systems). This position will entail performing a wide variety of engineering analyses and design requiring excellent engineering ability, as well as verbal and written communication skills. Initially, the position will involve supporting a number of projects in the construction phase, requiring travel to project sites, but ultimately, the position is intended to be performed mainly from PACE's office. Engineering functions of this position will include: Water treatment Wastewater treatment Pumping and water conveyance facilities Water storage facilities Construction administration / support Responsibilities may include: Perform hydraulic calculations and equipment sizing Initial field / construction work Construction document preparation (specifications and drawings) Creating details in AutoCAD Research Field studies Technical writing Hydraulic modeling Conduct site visits as required Engineering support during construction including RFI and submittal responses, coordination on construction matters, construction site engineering support, and attending construction progress meetings Coordination with vendors
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental or related engineering Passed EIT exam or is eligible to sit for the exam University courses completed including physical, chemical and biological processes of water, hydraulics, and water and wastewater Water and sewer hydraulic modeling experience 1-5 years of experience Creative problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills including technical writing and presentations Ability to work in a team environment and self-directed Working knowledge of AutoCAD MS Office proficiency Ability to travel to project sites throughout Arizona to support projects
Preferences:
AutoCAD proficient MicroStation experience esri ArcGIS experience is a plus Physical Demand While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands, handle or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; color vision is very helpful. Occasional field work may be required and includes walking through uneven, rugged terrain, requiring good balance, ability to walk moderate to long distances, and good general vision and depth of field vision. Work Environment The noise level in the office work environment is moderate. May be required to work in an external environment in all weather conditions. Salary Range Competitive Salary commensurate with experience and capabilities, with a range of $65,000-$90,000. This salary range is subject to change based on market conditions, timing and other factors outside of the control of
