Full Job Description Construction/Civil Engineer Job Description:
Work will include performing field engineering activities on construction projects including interfacing with contractor, owner and RJH engineering staff. Perform construction observations and inspection, respond to contractor requests for information, document construction activities, develop engineer directives, track work progress, and direct quality assurance activities. Periods between construction projects would involve performing design engineer tasks in the office including civil layout, drawings and specifications, and cost estimating. This position would be ideal for an engineer desiring a mix of both construction and design engineering.
Construction/Civil Engineer Requirements:
B.S. in Civil, Construction, or Geological Engineering is preferred. 0 to 5 years of experience in construction of dams, levees, water resources, and heavy civil projects. Knowledge of engineering drawings, specifications, and construction techniques and procedures. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience working collaboratively in a team environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in remote locations.
