Job Description

Ardurra is seeking a Senior Engineer - Water/Wastewater to join our team ideally in St. Augustine, FL . Primary Function:
This position will lead and support projects focused on water and wastewater systems. This role will play a critical part in delivering innovative engineering solutions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and contributing to sustainable water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
Primary Duties:
Lead the planning, design, and management of water and wastewater treatment facilities, distribution systems, and collection systems. Conduct feasibility studies, prepare technical reports, and provide recommendations for infrastructure improvements. Develop detailed engineering designs, calculations, specifications, and cost estimates. Manage and mentor junior staff, providing technical guidance and professional development support. Coordinate and collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to ensure project alignment with objectives and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Perform site assessments, inspections, and evaluations to identify project needs and potential challenges. Prepare proposals, budgets, schedules, and project scopes in alignment with organizational goals and client requirements.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field (Master's preferred). Professional Engineer (PE) license required, or ability to obtain within 6 months. 10+ years of experience in water and wastewater engineering, with a proven track record in project design and management. Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, hydraulic modeling, and infrastructure systems. Collaborative approach to leading and working within diverse, multidisciplinary project teams Familiarity with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. Proficiency in engineering software tools such as hydraulic modeling software (Visual Hydraulics, EFT Fathom, WaterGems). Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Why Ardurra?
