Jacobs is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our Transportation and Water teams in
HONOLULU, HI
for the Summer of 2027, working on projects that bring innovative solutions to our transportation clients' challenges locally and worldwide. This is an exciting opportunity for you to gain hands-on experience in large-scale infrastructure projects and apply your academic knowledge to real-world civil engineering challenges. You will assist our team in various aspects of roadway, water, and transit design work and learn about industry-standard procedures and software. You'll work alongside experienced Engineers and Project Managers in a multitude of disciplines while gaining valuable insights into the field of civil engineering.
Your Responsibilities May Include:
- Helping prepare technical reports and design documentation
- Participating in site visits to observe existing conditions and data collection processes when needed
- Assisting in roadway geometric design calculations and layout and/or water disciplines design calculations
- Supporting the development of project plans and estimates.
- In pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
- Completed coursework related to transportation and/or water engineering
- Must be at least a rising
Junior Ideally, You Will Also Have:
- 3.0 GPA or greater
- Driver's License
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil3D, or Microstation software
- A previous internship related to your field of study
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
