Mead & Hunt is currently looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Transportation team as an Experienced Water Resources Engineer in Columbia, MD; Herndon VA; Washington, DC.

Responsibilities include:

Assisting the design team with preparation of roadway drainage and stormwater designs Performing hydrology and hydraulics design calculations for roadway/site drainage Performing design calculations for stormwater management and erosion and sediment control Performing hydrology and hydraulics calculations for bridge and culverts Coordinating with multiple utility owners, MDOT, municipalities and regulatory agencies Preparing or modifying reports, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, permits, and designs for projects Preparing design computations and quantity estimates Assisting with quantity take-offs and cost estimates for projects Some travel will be required A valid driver's license and frequent travel will be required. The successful candidate must have the following: Bachelor's degree in civil / environmental engineering from an accredited college or university At least 4 years of relevant experience in drainage and stormwater management designs Professional Engineer (PE) license required Maryland PE or ability to obtain within 6 months of start date The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following: AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation software experience Ability to read engineering plans, contours, and drafting Utility coordination and design experience Municipal engineering design experience Why Mead & Hunt? Salary Range:
