No Recruiter : Cody Gaston Job Summary The Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Engineer role is an entry-level position within our Engineering & Development Services group for a qualified engineering professional interested in working on projects in one or more of the many sectors that Black & Veatch supports like power generation, renewables, water treatment, oil and gas, cyber and physical security. Functions in an engineer capacity. Under close supervision, performs routine aspects of engineering assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles. Applies knowledge of engineering principles to prescribed techniques and procedures to complete project assignments. Key Responsibilities As an entry level I&C Engineer this role would function in an engineer capacity, under close supervision, applying department design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes and Black & Veatch policies and procedures. The position would contribute to the preparation of engineering deliverables such as Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), reports, engineering specifications and technical studies and evaluations. The position will require routine research and analysis to develop recommendations for instrumentation and equipment selection. The position would understand and adhere to scope, schedule, and budget as well as the quality requirements under the Black & Veatch quality program. As an entry level I&C engineer the position must also focus on the needs of our internal clients (Project Team and Leadership) while gaining a better understanding of the external client's needs and drivers. The role directly coordinates with the project team by sharing information and design decisions. Preferred QualificationsPreferred Non-Technical Skills:
