Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Water Resources Engineer to join a growing engineering team. The ideal candidate will be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or an Engineer in Training (EIT) with experience in water resources engineering. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of civil engineering projects involving design, permitting, and construction support while collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams. Key Responsibilities Develop detailed engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for civil engineering and water resources projects. Prepare technical calculations and engineering analyses. Utilize industry-standard CAD software to create and modify project plans and models. Prepare permit applications and coordinate project submittals with regulatory agencies. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, technicians, architects, and clients throughout project development. Review and interpret engineering codes, standards, regulations, and project requirements. Prepare technical reports, project documentation, and construction drawings. Support construction activities by addressing design-related issues and providing technical guidance. Participate in project planning, scheduling, and coordination efforts. Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and industry standards. Required Qualifications Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification. Minimum of 2 years of experience in water resources engineering or a related field. Proficiency with CAD design software and civil engineering design tools. Strong understanding of civil engineering design principles and water resources systems. Experience preparing permits and coordinating with regulatory agencies. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, engineering drawings, and technical specifications. Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications Experience with stormwater management, drainage design, and water resources permitting. Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulatory requirements. Experience supporting projects through design, permitting, and construction phases.
