This position requires self-motivation, commitment to high-quality work performance, excellent planning, organization, and communication skills, and the ability to work with multidiscipline staff in a project team environment. This position will include oversight and participation in technical designs. Options are available for working remotely. Primary Functions Planning and design of water and wastewater projects, from concept through construction. Coordination with clients to obtain background and operating information. Data evaluation, identification of appropriate treatment technologies, development of basis of design and hydraulic calculations, and preparation of engineering reports. Development of design drawings and specifications and obtaining construction permits from regulatory agencies. Interaction with project teams in a multi-disciplinary and multi-office environment. Participation in marketing efforts with client visits and support in writing proposals and fee development. Minimum Physical Requirements Exposed to occasional lifting and carrying. Will have normal office working conditions and be required to sit and use a computer. Capable of traveling to and maneuvering around project sites for attending client and project meetings and site observations. Able to use various technical equipment for communication and documentation. Visual acuity necessary to perform responsibilities. Desired Education/Licensure Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio, or the ability to obtain withing six months Desired Skills/Experience 5+ years of water and wastewater process design, treatment technology selection, and plan and specification development. Professional Engineer registration a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication. Familiarity with CAD software. BIM and Revit capability are a plus. Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
