A Clinical Investigator works on a clinical trial, and is responsible for ensuring that an investigation is conducted according to the signed investigator statement, the investigational plan, and applicable regulations; for protecting the rights, safety, and welfare of subjects under the investigator's care; and for the control of drugs under investigation. The Clinical Investigator must also meet requirements set forth by the FDA, EMA or other regulatory body. The qualifications must be outlined in a current resume and readily available for auditors.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Medical center in SW Ohio is seeking an OBGYN faculty physician with a passion for teaching the next generation of physician learners. Competitive compensation along with amazing benefits package offered. Duties include participation in education/supervision of medical students/residents in various settings including inpatient work, Labor & Delivery, OR and outpatient clinic sites, and participation in direct patient care activities. Additional time will be made available to conduct research & administrative activities. As a member of the Department, faculty members have opportunities to work alongside colleagues who are deeply engaged in local, regional, and national initiatives to address issues of access to medicine and healthcare. Preferred Professional history and interest/ability in any of the following:
  • Research, publications, and grant submissions
  • Clinical trials / translational research
  • Quality improvement initiatives
  • Academic or clinical leadership
  • UME/GME efforts curriculum development, course direction, simulation center instruction, etc.
  • Direct supervision of resident learners within inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Community outreach and collaboration
  • Ability to serve as a model for excellence in research and clinical care
