Lead transformative water and wastewater infrastructure projects while shaping the future of our regional practice as a Water/Wastewater Engineering Lead. In this pivotal role, you'll mentor and orchestrate engineering teams through complex water and wastewater design projects for municipal agencies and utility clients, while serving as a trusted client advisor and developing the next generation of water/wastewater engineers. You'll combine deep technical expertise with strategic business development to deliver exceptional projects on time and within budget, building lasting partnerships that strengthen communities and expand our presence across the region. What You'll Do Function as the central point of coordination between clients, design teams, and stakeholders; maintaining strong relationships with municipal agencies and utility clients Lead high-impact projects while driving business development and maintaining the highest standards of engineering excellence and client service Lead and mentor project teams through the planning and design of water and wastewater infrastructure, including collection system sewers, lift stations, force mains, treatment facilities, booster stations, and/or studies of wastewater and water systems Maintain quality control of services and deliverable Drive business development efforts including pursuit leadership, client meetings, and proposal preparation Ensure quality control of all deliverables while managing budgets, schedules, and proactively mitigating project risk Mentor engineers at all levels, supporting their development into confident, independent professionals Skills & Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program required Professional Engineer (PE) registration in the state of employment or ability to be registered with reciprocity 10+ years of experience in water/wastewater collection, distribution, pumping systems, storage, treatment, and utility infrastructure design Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD; experience with Revit or hydraulic modeling software a plus Treatment process knowledge a plus Adaptable and self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset as well as a proactive approach to problem solving Servant leader committed to fostering collaboration, innovation, and excellence while developing others Learn More To learn more about B&N, our culture and what we offer, visit: www.burgessniple.com/careers/perks-culture Burgess & Niple is an Equal Opportunity Employer All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, age, national origin, disability status, marital status, sexual orientation, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.
