Job Description
STV's Oklahoma City, OK location is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer for our Water Practice Group. STV specializes in the planning, organization, and development of engineering activities for the design, construction, and maintenance of water and wastewater facilities and pipelines. Our engineers work on high quality, high-profile, national, and international projects. As a Water/Wastewater Engineer, you will actively participate in the full project cycle, from the design phase through the final construction close-out. In this position you will perform design engineering tasks to support the Project Team in the execution and delivery of water and wastewater projects.
Responsibilities include:
Production of contract documents including plans and specifications. Perform pipeline hydraulic flow and pressure calculations. Perform pump calculations and develop system curves for sizing pumps. Prepare construction and design cost estimates. Perform engineering duties in planning and designing water and wastewater pipelines, pumping, storage, and treatment systems. Responsible for or willingness to learn project management, client interface and business development of future projects. Make site visits during design and construction to observe the construction installation. Review construction shop drawings and submittals for compliance with project design documents.Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited University or NCEES equivalent. A minimum of 5 years of experience is required. Experience in water and wastewater systems is required. Experience working with local municipalities and utility companies. OK PE License is required. Ability to work and communicate well with other design disciplines. Possess strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently. Strong oral and written communication skills. Experience with Water/Wastewater treatment and pumping facilities design is preferred. Familiarity with production tools, or modeling and design software is a plus.Compensation Range:
