Role Description The Senior Wastewater Process Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Malvern, PA. This role is responsible for leading the design and optimization of wastewater treatment processes, including evaluating existing systems, developing process improvements, and preparing detailed engineering calculations and design documents. The engineer will coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams, support project planning and scheduling, and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers. Day-to-day activities include performing process modeling, reviewing and interpreting regulatory requirements, preparing technical reports and specifications, and supporting construction, commissioning, and troubleshooting efforts. The role also involves direct interaction with clients to define project objectives, present technical findings, and ensure that solutions meet performance, safety, and compliance standards. Qualifications Strong foundation in Process Engineering and Chemical Engineering, with experience in wastewater treatment systems. Proficiency in Process Design and Process Control for municipal and industrial wastewater processes. Demonstrated Analytical Skills for interpreting data, performing process modeling, and solving complex technical problems. Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related discipline. Several years of progressively responsible experience in wastewater process design and engineering, ideally in a consulting or utility environment. Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulatory guidelines for water and wastewater facilities. Ability to lead projects, mentor junior staff, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external partners. Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing technical documentation and interacting with clients and stakeholders. Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one within a reasonable timeframe is preferred.
