Job Responsibilities:
Plan and design water resources projects involving hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, floodplain mapping, stormwater modeling, flood control, dam safety, dam removal, stream restoration, and transportation-related drainage design Provide engineering review of stormwater and erosion control plans Develop scopes of work and budgets/proposals for water resources projects or for water resources components of larger projects Prepare permit applications and pursue approval Develop and formulate cost effective, technical solutions to client problems on assigned projects Prepare construction plans, specifications, construction cost estimates, correspondence, and reports Communicate and work with other project team members to provide quality service to clients to ensure that all documentation conforms to client/company standards Mentor, train, and grow the engineering team Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week Supervises two (2) Civil Engineers Qualifications Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Hydrosystems Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field of study and 5 years of experience as a Water Resources Engineer, Drainage Engineer, or related occupation. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master's degree in Hydrosystems Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field of study with 3 years of experience. The position requires experience in the following: HEC RAS; HEC HMS; XPSWMM; PCSWMM;FLOWMASTER
;HYDROCAD
