Job Description

What You Will Do:
As GFT continues to grow and expand, we are seeking an Entry Level Structural Engineer to support our Dams & Hydraulics team in our Greenwood Village, CO office. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring a minimum 3 days of onsite office attendance. GFT is recognized as a national leader in dams and water resources engineering, providing a comprehensive range of engineering services for dams, flood control, water supply, and transportation projects
  • from planning, engineering, and design through construction management and decommissioning.
We rely on our hydraulic structures engineers to deliver quality results that will actively engage our clients and advance our company forward. What you'll be challenged to do: The Entry Level Structural Engineer will support design projects for dams and appurtenant structures. You'll engage in meaningful mentorship and professional development as you build a successful career. In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Support analysis work for concrete dams and appurtenant structures using computer software and hand calculations. Understand the technical requirements and design criteria for design projects. Participate in technical meetings and discussions. Assist field reviews of project sites to assess existing conditions. Help prepare technical reports and present findings to clients. Education |
Experience:
What you'll bring to our firm: Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university. 0-2 years of related dams, hydraulics, or structural engineering experience. Demonstrated interest in dams, hydraulics, or structural engineering through applied academic coursework, prior internships, or work experiences. Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a team environment, self-starter, demonstrated organization skills, team player, and willingness to learn.
What we prefer you bring:
An Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification. Experience with finite element analysis software.
Compensation:
The range for this position is salary range is $75,000
  • 85,000.
Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
