As a Senior Water Reuse Engineer (Drinking Water & Reuse), you will lead process design and optimization for drinking water and reuse facilities that protect communities, strengthen resilience, and advance sustainable water supply across Idaho and the United States. What You'll Do Establish permitting and regulatory strategy related to water reuse, wastewater, and drinking water treatment. Develop technical reports for planning, design, and construction related to water reuse, wastewater, and/or water treatment. Partner directly with clients on workshops, planning, and facility master planning; present options and recommendations clearly. Perform process evaluation, design, and optimization for drinking water and reuse treatment systems. Guide commissioning/startup, troubleshoot operations, and support digital tools to improve performance and reliability. Develop technical specifications, equipment selection, and submittal reviews with strong QA/QC rigor. Mentor and develop junior engineers; foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture. Contribute to proposals, scopes of work, and fee development. Coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams (civil, structural, electrical, I&C) to deliver integrated solutions. Here's what you'll need B.S. in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering (M.S. preferred). Professional Engineer (PE) — Idaho PE preferred (or ability to obtain through comity). 10+ years in municipal water/wastewater engineering, with emphasis on water reuse. Working knowledge of local and regional water/wastewater/reuse regulations. Client-facing communication skills and a track record of delivering high-quality planning and design documentation. Ideally, You'll Also Have Experience with potable reuse (indirect or direct) or alternative water supplies. Project management exposure (PMP or formal PM training a plus). Participation in professional societies. Familiarity with process modeling, data analytics, and/or digital twins. And certain roles may be eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, performance discretionary bonus, and stock. The base salary range for this position is $102,900.00 to $160,800.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
