Available Benefits Help for . The Opportunity Aguirre & Fields is seeking a Project Engineer - Water Resources in Sugar Land, TX, to lead meaningful hydrology and hydraulics work that supports resilient communities.
In this role, you will provide technical leadership on water resources projects, support project managers, guide project teams, and help deliver quality work on time and within budget. Ideal Candidate
You are a technically strong civil engineer who enjoys solving complex water resources challenges, mentoring others, and leading with accountability, collaboration, and clear communication. Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from an ABET/EAC-accredited program.
Registered Professional Engineer license.
10+ years of relevant hydraulic design experience. Experience in transportation-related drainage projects a plus.
Experience with
HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HEC-RAS
2D, HY-8, Bentley
ORD DU, GEOPAK
Drainage, and XP SWMM. MicroStation (preferred) or AutoCAD experience.
Strong communication skills and the ability to mentor technical staff. What Youll Do Lead technical execution for hydrology and hydraulics projects, including schedules, budgets, and design quality.
Partner with project managers and serve as a trusted technical resource for clients and teams.
Supervise project production and provide guidance, mentoring, and quality control support to staff.
Support pursuits and RFP responses as a discipline task lead when needed.
