Job Description

Category Schools - General Education Teacher Job Type Contract Inspire high school students and foster a love of reading and writing as a dedicated Language Arts Teacher. This contract position is ideal for an educator passionate about English Language Arts and ready to make a positive impact throughout the upcoming academic year. The role is located near Gridley, IL, working within a supportive single-building environment focused on student achievement and personal growth.
Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
State certification in Secondary Education with an endorsement in English Language Arts (or eligibility) Experience teaching ELA in a high school setting is highly valued Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse learners Creative lesson planning and curriculum delivery methods Ability to collaborate with colleagues and participate in school-wide initiatives
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Designing and implementing engaging lesson plans in accordance with curriculum standards Instructing students in literature, composition, and critical thinking skills Assessing student progress and providing timely, constructive feedback Facilitating classroom discussions that promote thoughtful analysis and communication Collaborating with fellow educators and participating in professional development opportunities
Position Details:
Contract runs from August 17th through May 28th 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday School day runs from 7:45 am - 3:30 pm Serve a vibrant high school student population in one building Bring your passion for language and education to a role where you can encourage academic excellence and lifelong skills.
