Description Job Title ENHC Operations Technician I Location Galena, AK, US Organization Name Health Services Job Summary Job Summary:
Job incumbent will work under the supervision of the Edgar Nollner Health Clinic Operations Officer to assist with providing operation support services to the ENHC and staff to assure clinic compliance is being met. Incumbent will work with various departments in Operations, to include BioMed, Environmental Services, Courier services and Material Management. Tasks will include being a direct liaison for the ENHC to maintain medical equipment, manage medical supply inventory and assist as an alternate for administrative and environmental services. Adhere to the TCC Ch'eghwtsen' model of service and guiding principle which requires providing timely and effective service along with the ability to interact with others in a way that inspires trust and demonstrates respect, compassion and empathy.

Representative Duties:
Under the direct supervision of the ENHC Operations Officer, job incumbent will be assigned the following representative duties: 1. Work with ENHC Operations Officer to support safe, efficient, effective clinical operations. 2. Work as an alternate to Environmental Services Technician I and assist with janitorial tasks or training as needed. 3. Assist with Operations Tech II tasks under the direction of ENHC Operations Officer as needed. Duties include registering new patients, updating information for registered patients, scheduling appointments via phone and in person, checking patients in and out for their appointments. 4. Work with Materials Management team for inventory and management of clinical supplies. Coordinate with Materials Management team to ensure supplies are standardized across TCC subregional clinics. 5. Provide courier services between clinic, post office, airport and other TCC Facilities. 6. Work with Biomedical team as needed to troubleshoot medical equipment and coordinate servicing equipment. 7. Assist in removal and shipping of bio-medical waste. 8. Assist with AAAHC, HRSA and CARF accreditation survey readiness. 9. Respond quickly to a variety of situations and travel on short notice in emergency situations.
Other Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or GED equivalent. 2. Current State of Alaska Driver's License. 3. One year experience working in a health service-oriented position with direct patient contact. 4. Computer experience, using various Windows applications. 5. Must pass background check pursuant to federal Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act requirement and State of Alaska background check.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
1. Collaborative work style with ability to communicate in a culturally sensitive manner with people from diverse backgrounds. 2. High emotional intelligence with priority of service to others. 3. Innovative self-starter, able to prioritize tasks at times in ambiguous circumstances. 4. Exceptional problem-solving skills with actionable solutions. 5. Knowledge of resources and health care needs in rural Alaska. 6. Proficient typing and computer skills using MS Word and computerized databases. 7. Strong verbal, interpersonal, written, organizational and analytical skills. Work independently, accurately and efficiently in a busy and sometimes stressful environment.
Supervision:
No supervisory duties.
Supervision Physical demands:
Mixed travel and sedentary at the desk. Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull 50 pounds. Position requires standing, walking, sitting, typing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, climbing, balancing, and have good depth perception and color vision. Position requires a lot of reading, handling of material, speaking and adequate hearing ability. Travel to remote rural Alaska villages is required via small twin-engine fixed wing aircraft.
Summation Summary:
This position is fast paced and highly customer services oriented. The incumbent is responsible for helping the ENHC Operations Officer and the ENHC Leads in the day-to-day tasks of ENHC.
