Job Description

Overview Join HAI's Oregon, IL team and be part of a hardworking group dedicated to producing high-quality resin-coated sand products. This role is ideal for individuals who value safety, efficiency, and teamwork. You'll play a key role in packaging and preparing finished products while gaining hands-on experience that can lead to advancement opportunities within the company. What You'll Do Safely set up, fill, package, and label finished products according to customer specifications Operate lift trucks to move materials and finished goods throughout the facility Load and secure large "super sack" bags (up to 4,000 lbs.) for packaging Label and palletize finished products for shipment Maintain accurate packaging records Keep work areas clean and organized, including sweeping and managing spillage Follow all safety procedures and wear required protective equipment Complete a comprehensive 6-month training program Additional Responsibilities Support Process and Mixer Operators in production activities Stage raw materials and assist with sampling and quality checks Clean and maintain equipment using power tools and cleaning systems Step in for Process Operators when needed Perform other duties as assigned What We're Looking For Strong communication skills and ability to work independently Team-oriented mindset with a strong focus on safety Ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting ability Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required 1+ year of experience in packaging, machine operation, or manufacturing preferred Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working with minimal supervision Work Environment Exposure to dust, airborne particles, moving equipment, and loud noise Indoor and outdoor work in various weather conditions Required use of PPE including gloves, hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toe boots Respirator use may be required in certain situations Physical Requirements Frequently lift 20-30 lbs.; occasionally up to 50 lbs. Push, pull, or move drums up to 100 lbs. Stand, bend, squat, and stretch regularly Work in tight or elevated spaces when needed Use hand and power tools safely and effectively Why Join HAI?
