Job Description

We're Building Something Different. Movement First (M1) is a boutique training facility built around one core belief: better movement creates a better life. Our growth has been driven almost entirely through word-of-mouth and the results we deliver to our clients. As we continue to grow, we're looking to bring on a passionate, knowledgeable, and hard-working coach who is eager to make a meaningful impact and continue mastering their craft. This is not a big-box gym environment. We value intentional coaching, critical thinking, professionalism, and a deep understanding of how to help people move, feel, and perform better — whether they are dealing with pain, looking to build strength, or striving to improve overall quality of life. About the Role We are searching for a coach who understands that great training goes beyond simply counting reps. The ideal candidate can blend strength and conditioning with thoughtful coaching and real-time adaptability. If a client experiences discomfort during an exercise, you know how to adjust, regress, progress, or reframe the session appropriately while maintaining confidence and trust. At M1, we pride ourselves on understanding the human body, movement patterns, and the integration of science-backed principles into practical coaching. We're looking for someone who shares that passion for learning and can apply it in real-world scenarios with clients of varying backgrounds and goals. What We're Looking For
  • Strong understanding of strength and conditioning principles
  • Ability to adapt and problem-solve in real time during sessions
  • Interest in movement quality, biomechanics, anatomy, and human performance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professionalism, attention to detail, and strong work ethic
  • Desire to continue learning and growing as a coach
  • Ability to create a positive, motivating, and supportive training environment Who Thrives Here
  • Coaches who are curious and constantly learning
  • Trainers who care deeply about client outcomes
  • People who value collaboration over ego
  • Coaches who appreciate both movement quality and strength development
  • Individuals who take pride in professionalism, presence, and intentional coaching Qualifications
  • Certified Personal Trainer (NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, or equivalent)
  • Experience in personal training preferred
  • Background in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related field is a plus
  • PRI, DNS, or other advanced movement education is a plus, but not required
  • We are willing to mentor the right individual with the right mindset and work ethic Compensation
  • Competitive pay based on experience and fit
  • Starting range: $40
  • 60 per session
  • Opportunity for growth within the company
  • Continuing education and mentorship opportunities Why Join M1?
At M1, you'll be part of a team that values excellence, learning, collaboration, and meaningful coaching. We believe training should help people move better, feel better, and live better — and we're building a culture centered around that mission. If you're passionate about coaching, eager to grow, and excited to be part of a high-standard environment focused on long-term impact, we'd love to hear from you. Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter explaining why you'd be a strong fit for our team.
