Job Description
OSC Energy, LLC is looking for a Health, Safety and Environmental manager to go out into the field and multiple yards to ensure a safe working environment. HSE Management experience is required, must have a clean driving history and be able to pass a drug and alcohol employment screening. Job duties include but are not limited to:
- strong understanding of the HSE program.
- strong communication skills with the various management branches and other members of the HSE staff.
- Time management skills.
- Willing to travel to various yard locations and job site to audit HSE processes and ensure compliance with not just our company requirements, but also the State, Federal and regulatory requirements.
- May be required to transport injured personnel to seek medical care and attend medical visits with injured workers to assist in the management of claims, including follow-up visits.
- Ensure that all injuries, equipment damage events, vehicle accidents, near hits, and
- environmental impacts are reported and captured in the Incident Portal within 24 hours of the event, or as soon as reasonably possible. Responsible for reporting incidents in accordance with the Incident Reporting and Investigation Policy.
- Assist with investigating all incidents to determine root causes and develop corrective actions.
- Maintain spare Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for distribution in the field.
- Perform field audits, facility audits, and personnel audits to track compliance with the HSE Management System.
- Audit the Job Safety Analysis (JSAs) process to ensure they are being performed and verify accuracy and completeness.
- Assist the DOT/Fleet Manager with safety-related inspections and investigations.
- Participate in daily safety meetings.
- Attend contractor safety meetings when possible or as needed
