Job Description
The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator is responsible for supporting and maintaining workplace health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This role helps promote a safe work environment by identifying hazards, implementing preventive measures, and fostering a culture of safety across the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Assists in developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements such as Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and environmental agencies. Conducts routine workplace inspections and safety audits, requiring travel to out-of-state facilities. Identifies hazards and recommends corrective actions. Supports incident investigations and prepares detailed reports. Maintains safety records, logs, and documentation. Coordinates safety training programs and employee onboarding related to EHS. Monitors workplace conditions (air quality, noise levels, chemical exposure, etc.). Assists with emergency preparedness and response planning. Collaborates with management to improve safety culture and reduce risks. Tracks and reports key EHS performance metrics. Performs other business-related duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field. 1-3 years' experience in EHS. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance standards. Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple assignments, and adapt to changing priorities. Effective communication and people skills to collaborate with other team members.Pay:
