Job Description

Full Time Day Shift Schedule Full Time:
80
Hours/Biweekly Hours:
7:00am - 3:30pm Rotating Weekends and Holidays, Required General Summary Performs a variety of general and specialized cleaning tasks to maintain patient rooms, offices, hallways and other assigned areas of the hospital. Assists in the environmental services department as needed to lift, move and relocate furniture, furnishings, equipment, etc. Duties and Responsibilities Performs duties of the Environmental Services Technician I. Buffs, strips, waxes and polishes floors. Moves furniture and other heavy objects as required. Moves, removes, and relocates furniture, furnishings, equipment, etc. as directed. Shampoos rugs and furniture. Cleans vents, fans, and other equipment using vacuum machines. Operates mechanical floor cleaners, polishers, and vacuums. Sets up chairs and tables, etc. for special events and folds and stores them after the event. Moves large items in and out of storage. Performs custodial/housekeeping duties as assigned when not involved in moving projects. Assists in handing drapes and dividers and takes them down for cleaning.

Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings. Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation. Attends meetings as required. Required for

Qualifications Minimum Education:
None Required Work Experience:
Less than 1 year Relevant experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to read, write, understand and speak English at a level that enables the individual to perform the functions of the job satisfactorily.
