Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Equine/Event Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of event setups, teardowns, and maintenance on our agricultural buildings. This includes indoor and outdoor arenas. The candidate will also provide assistant during events. Work hours vary and can include nights, weekends, and holidays. Individual need the ability to obtain a Class B CDL. Duties Operates equipment and machinery in a safe and efficient manner as required by facility needs. Performs daily maintenance, including oil levels, air and fuel filters, grease fittings, and tire pressure checks. Maintains dirt arenas for all events as required. Assists with setup and tear down events, including rodeos, cuttings, livestock sales, roping competitions, barrel races, trade shows, and the county fair. Cleans and maintains stables. Makes repairs as needed. Assists with snow removal which may include plowing, hand shoveling, and dispersing ice melting compounds as needed. Sets up and tears down various types of stalls, holding pens, bucking chutes, roping chutes, crow's nest, bleachers, animal cages, and pens. Assists Event Custodians with event setup, trash removal, and bathroom checks as needed. Transports equipment including, tables, chairs, stage sections, and pegboards between all buildings as requested. Identifies and reports building maintenance needs. Performs minor repair work. Performs related duties as required. Requirements High School diploma (or GED equivalent) 3-5 years of experience Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities
Required Licenses:
Class C driver's license
Preferred Licenses or Certifications:
