Environmental Equipment / Mechanical Systems About the Role We are seeking a hands‑on Equipment Maintenance Technician to support the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of environmental equipment used across active field operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, experience working with pumps, blowers, filtration systems, or similar equipment, and the ability to work independently in both shop and field environments. The technician will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, supporting field crews, and maintaining safe, compliant operation of environmental systems. Key Responsibilities Equipment Maintenance & Repair Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on environmental equipment such as pumps, air movers, filtration units, separators, and monitoring devices Inspect, test, and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components Replace worn or damaged parts, perform adjustments, and ensure equipment is operating within required specifications Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and inspection reports Field & Shop Support Prepare equipment for deployment to field crews, including testing, calibration, and staging Support field teams with equipment setup, breakdown, and on‑site troubleshooting as needed Assist with loading/unloading equipment, inventory control, and shop organization Ensure all equipment is cleaned, serviced, and ready for use Safety & Compliance Follow all company safety procedures and environmental regulations Conduct pre‑use inspections and ensure equipment meets operational and safety standards Report equipment issues, hazards, or failures promptly to supervisors Operational Coordination Communicate with project managers, field supervisors, and warehouse staff to ensure equipment availability Track equipment usage, repairs, and parts inventory Assist with procurement of replacement parts, consumables, and tools Qualifications 1-5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician, Equipment Technician, or similar mechanical role Experience with pumps, blowers, filtration systems, or environmental/industrial equipment strongly preferred Ability to read equipment manuals, schematics, and basic technical diagrams Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills; electrical or pneumatic experience is a plus Comfortable working in shop and field environments Valid driver's license and ability to lift 50+ lbs Strong communication, organization, and time‑management skills Why This Opportunity Work with a respected environmental services firm with steady project demand Hands‑on role with variety — shop work, field support, troubleshooting, and equipment prep Growth potential into Senior Technician or Field Operations roles Supportive team environment with training provided Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Linwood, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $29.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
