Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Equipment Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and automotive systems. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting our operational excellence. Duties Perform detailed diagnostics and repairs on heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and farm equipment using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) schematics and technical manuals. Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, tire service, brake repairs, transmission servicing, and hydraulic system inspections to maximize equipment lifespan. Fabricate custom parts or modifications using welding, soldering, and power tools to meet specific operational needs or repair requirements. Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform automotive diagnostics on diesel engines, HVAC units, air brakes, suspension systems, and electrical components. Operate heavy equipment safely during repairs or testing procedures while adhering to all safety protocols and industry standards. Maintain accurate records of repairs performed, parts used, and maintenance schedules in compliance with OEM guidelines. Assist with assembly of new equipment or components ensuring proper alignment and functionality before deployment. Skills Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience working with heavy industrial equipment and farm machinery. Strong mechanical knowledge of transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, air brakes, HVAC systems, and suspension components. Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex machinery issues. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons and other maintenance tools. Experience with Caterpillar or other OEM brands; familiarity with excavator controls and crane operation is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining precision during repairs or installations. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding repair needs or maintenance schedules. Pay:
$26.00 - $32.00 per hour
