Equipment Mechanic III Job Description Perform repairs and maintenance on light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks, forklifts, and agricultural equipment supporting farm and processing operations. Responsibilities include work on air conditioning and heating systems, brake systems (including ABS), suspension, steering, cooling systems, tire mounting and balancing, diagnostics, hydraulic systems, and engine tune-ups. Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using computerized diagnostic tools. Complete repairs both in-shop and in the field on diesel and gas engines. Read wiring schematics and maintain repair records to ensure work meets safety and company standards. Work on air conditioning and heating systems, brake systems (including ABS), suspension, steering, cooling systems, tire mounting and balancing, and engine tune-ups. Ensure all work meets safety and company standards. Essential Skills 5-10 years of experience performing preventative maintenance and repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks, forklifts, and farm equipment. Strong experience in hydraulics, diesel engines, electrical diagnostics, brake systems, and cooling systems. Experience with welding (MIG/stick), diagnostic tools, and field service repairs highly preferred. Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and hydraulic schematics. Experience with computerized diagnostic equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean DMV record. Ability to obtain forklift certification. Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and be on-call as needed. Ability to travel to field locations as required. Must pass drug screen, physical, and functional capacity evaluation. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Arvin, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.20 - $25.20/hr.
