TOOL ASSISTANT/EQUIPMENT

LOAD/DRIVER- Northeast Pennsylvania ICON is currently seeking an Equipment Shop Tool Assistant to support industrial construction operations in the Northeast Pennsylvania area.

JOB SUMMARY

The Equipment Shop Tool Assistant will assist the Equipment Manager and Lead Mechanic with a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and tracking of current inventory of tools and equipment. They are expected to follow direction from the Equipment Manager on gathering tools for various jobs, while ensuring tools are functional and in acceptable condition. They will also assist in loading trucks while adhering to all safety policies with use of all required personal protective equipment (PPE). Housekeeping and cleaning of equipment, tools, facilities are also expected along with the delivery of some equipment, tools, vehicles, materials, and parts to jobsites.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATION

Basic understanding of industrial equipment and tools. Ability and willingness to travel to various local job sites within a work, with occasional out-of-town travel as well. CDL Class A preferred but not required. Required to possess and maintain a personal set of hand tools. Ability and willingness to work overtime when necessary. Expected to ensure their workmanship meets or exceeds applicable standard industry and or customer contract specifications.
