About Us At SCS Multifamily, we're more than a company — we're a collaborative team delivering high-quality cabinet, countertop, and flooring solutions for multifamily housing projects across the country. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Estimator to join our team and help us scale into the next phase of the company. Role Overview This is a multi-scope estimating role covering cabinets, countertops, and flooring for large multifamily construction projects. You'll prepare takeoffs, build bids, and coordinate with vendors, project managers, and general contractors to make sure every proposal we send out is accurate, competitive, and aligned with SCS standards. We are willing to train the right person. The starting pay reflects our willingness to bring on someone newer to the trade and grow them into a full-scope estimator. Pay increases as proficiency is demonstrated across all three scopes.

Key Responsibilities Estimate Preparation:

Review architectural plans and specifications to prepare accurate takeoffs and pricing for cabinet, countertop, and flooring scopes (LVT, carpet, tile, quartz, casework).

Bid Coordination:

Compile and submit bids on time, with clear inclusions and exclusions.

Vendor & Supplier Interaction:

Request quotes, manage vendor relationships, and stay current on product pricing and availability.

Quantity Takeoffs:

Perform detailed material quantity takeoffs in Bluebeam .

Cost Analysis:

Evaluate project-specific costs and labor to ensure profitability and competitiveness.

Client Communication:

Collaborate with general contractors, project managers, and developers to clarify scope and address bid questions.

Value Engineering:

Identify cost-saving alternatives without compromising quality or schedule.

Bid Follow-Up:

Track submitted bids and follow up on status and feedback.

Professional Communicator:

You can explain technical details clearly to GCs, vendors, and team members. Software Bluebeam is our primary takeoff and markup tool. Prior Bluebeam experience is a plus; we'll train the right candidate if needed.
