Water/Wastewater Estimator About the Opportunity Our client is a well-established and growing heavy civil contractor specializing in water and wastewater infrastructure projects throughout the Midwest. They are seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Estimator to join their team in Minnesota. Position Overview The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, pipeline projects, and related utility infrastructure work. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of heavy civil construction means and methods, with experience estimating municipal and public works projects. Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals for water/wastewater construction projects Review plans, specifications, and contract documents Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing analysis Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes Collaborate with project managers, operations teams, and leadership during preconstruction Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed Identify project risks and develop value engineering opportunities Maintain accurate estimating databases and historical cost information Assist in developing project schedules and bid strategies Qualifications 5+ years of estimating experience within heavy civil, utility, or water/wastewater construction Strong understanding of treatment plants, underground utilities, and municipal infrastructure projects Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite Strong communication and organizational skills Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary Bonus opportunities Comprehensive benefits package 401(k) with company match PTO and paid holidays Relocation assistance available Long-term growth opportunities with a respected contractor
