Job Description

Evening School Custodian/Janitor Requirements of School Custodian/Janitor:
No Experience/No Problem! MUST be at least 18 years of age Effectively communicate with manager and other staff regarding issues and supply needs Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods Ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 25 pounds Ability to use motorized equipment (vacuum, hand operated floor cleaners) Ability to read and comprehend instructions and safety related materials Must be able to pass a background check
Role of School Custodian/Janitor:
Maintaining the cleanliness of schools Cleaning, stocking and sanitizing restrooms Disposing of trash & recycling Mopping & sweeping floors Dusting and surface cleaning Windows and glass cleaning Custodians/Janitors have daily exposure to cleaning solutions.
Typical Shift:
