Excavator Operator

Join one of the leading construction companies in Northern Utah! We are seeking experienced Excavation Operators for a project-specific assignment located at 1240 Bitterroot Drive, McCall, ID 83638. This position will support a construction project scheduled from May 18, 2026 through August 31, 2027. Work will be performed exclusively at the McCall project location. The ideal candidate will have experience operating excavation equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment while maintaining high-quality workmanship and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

Operate excavation equipment including excavators, loaders, skid steers, dozers, rollers, and other heavy equipment as assigned Perform excavation, grading, trenching, backfilling, and site preparation work Read and interpret grade stakes, site plans, and directions from supervisors Conduct daily equipment inspections and properly maintain equipment to ensure safe operation Identify and report equipment maintenance or repair needs Work closely with ground crews and supervisors to complete work safely and efficiently Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper PPE usage and jobsite hazard awareness Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications:

Previous experience operating excavation and heavy equipment required Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently in varying site conditions Knowledge of excavation practices, trench safety, grading, and utility awareness Strong attention to detail and safety Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
