Minimum Bachelor's degree from an approved education program in subject area. NC Teaching License or have qualifications to obtain a NC teaching license. Strong background in North Carolina Course of Study/Common Core and Essential Standards.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners. Plan, coordinate, and continuously improve instruction that facilitate active learning. Ability to analyze situations, determine possible options, and make appropriate decisions based on the data. Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment. Manage instructional time and student behavior by establishing rules and procedures. Motivate students and provide appropriate feedback on work. Consult with parents, teachers, administrators, and the community to enhance the learning of students. Encourage and monitor student performance and use information to adjust teaching strategies. Perform non-instructional duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Uses a variety of instructional methods by choosing methods and techniques that are most effective in meeting the needs of students. Integrates and utilizes technology in instruction by knowing when and how to use technology to maximize student learning. Helps students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills by encouraging students to ask questions, think creatively, and draw conclusions. The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 15 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects or assist students. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, carrying, reaching, handling, and repetitive fine motor activities. Hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone.Vision:
Frequent near acuity and occasional far acuity. Mobility to work in a typical office setting, computer work, and to use standard office equipment.Environmental Conditions:
varies from classrooms to exposure to outside weather conditions with temperatures ranging from mild/moderate to extreme cold/heat. Exposure to noise intensity levels ranging from moderate to loud for occasional to frequent time periods.TERM OF EMPLOYMENT

Performance will be evaluated in the NC Educator Effectiveness System, in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of personnel.Position Type:
