Job Description

Overview The Executive Director, Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) will proactively help design and actively implement the integrated HEOR strategies and tactics to support the clinical development and commercialization of barzolvolimab and future pipeline assets. The incumbent is expected to have expertise, knowledge, and skills to design and execute a range of studies, health economics models and other HEOR activities including but not limited to comparative effectiveness studies, observational studies using real world data, patient reported outcomes (PROs), and economic/cost-effectiveness modeling for in-line and development compounds as required. Responsibilities Develop and lead a high-performing HEOR and PRO team and builds Celldex capabilities towards launch of barzolvolimab and future pipeline assets. Provide HEOR expertise to the cross-functional team and ensure that HEOR perspectives are represented in the strategic plans for assigned compound(s). Responsible for delivering HEOR analysis, data, models, and publications required to demonstrate the economic value of Celldex products. Such deliverables include, but are not limited to, models/analyses for disease burden, health system utilization, comparative/competitive cost-benefit analyses (e.g., comparative QALY, cost-to-endpoint analyses, etc.) and appropriate meta-analyses. Ensure that patient reported outcome tools selected for clinical development programs are appropriate to the indication, scientifically valid, and acceptable to health authorities. Develop and validate new tools if needed in partnership with Clinical and Regulatory functions. Develop Real World Data/Evidence (RWD/RWE) and Value Evidence Plans that support overall Integrated Evidence Plan framework as well as commercialization efforts to enable Access and Reimbursement. Lead and execute projects with external stakeholders & HEOR experts to ensure that Celldex sponsored HEOR initiatives are medically relevant, scientifically valid & clinically relevant and support the needs of regulators, patients, health care providers, payers and policy makers Supports development and maintenance of product Global Value Dossiers (GVD) & Global Value Stories (GVS) to support local Health Technology Assessment (HTA) needs in partnership with Global Access. Lead the maintenance of a global HEOR repository with a library of tools and instruments that support data generation and HTA needs Qualifications BA/BS degree or equivalent in a scientific or health care field required. Advanced degree (MS, MPH, PhD, or PharmD) preferred. 7+ years related experience in outcomes research including patient reported outcomes, health economics, or epidemiology Experience building, managing, and leading high-performing teams in a highly matrixed environment. Demonstrated skills related to collaboration, communication, ensuring accountability, and developing talent. Previous experience working on innovative therapy in immunology therapeutic areas strongly preferred Health authority submissions and commercial launch experience strongly preferred Demonstrated understanding of the interface between clinical practice and outcomes research and experience in leveraging outcomes data in the appropriate clinical context. Demonstrated expertise in leveraging secondary data sets, including US and international payer data-bases, clinical publications, and syndicated sources to develop proprietary competitive economic and impact analyses Solid understanding of various HTA reimbursement and market access requirements and working understanding of industry and regulatory guidelines as they relate to HEOR and Medical Affairs Employs conceptual thinking and informational gathering in order to anticipate, identify, analyze and solve complex problems In-depth HEOR subject matter expert knowledge along with a broad knowledge of related disciplines (market access, clinical development, market research) Previous experience developing PROs, including strategies, plans, endpoint validation, and implementation into clinical trials. Participation in health authority submissions and labeling negotiations. Demonstrated strategic thinking and strong leadership skills A collaborative style of working and a strong sense of ethics, compliance and integrity Persuasive and effective presentation style with strong written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills High attention to detail including proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities Compensation The expected base salary range for this position is $233,631 to $303,417 We are committed to compensating employees equitably based on several factors including experience, education, licensure/certifications, skill level, location of the position, and availability of similar talent in a competitive market. Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary bonus, long term incentive, 401(K) plan with employer contribution, health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), paid holidays, vacation, and sick days.
