Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will support clinical operations, assist with patient care, and ensure the smooth functioning of the dental practice. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, infection control, and medical documentation, with a focus on providing exceptional patient service in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Perform chairside assisting, including passing instruments, managing suction, and handling dental materials. Take and develop X-rays, including 3D scans, ensuring proper positioning and safety measures are followed. Record vital signs and medical history accurately using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic. Manage patient records and medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral hygiene practices. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to infection control standards. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and updating medical records as needed. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is highly desirable. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding enhances performance in this role. Certification or training in X-ray techniques and chairside assisting is required or highly recommended. Understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques is essential for ensuring patient safety. Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 30 - 35 per week
