Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with a strong background in CNC programming and advanced CNC manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be experienced in creating, optimizing, and executing CNC programs, with 5-axis machining experience considered a strong advantage. Turbo Machining offers a clean, family-focused work environment. ⸻ Key Responsibilities Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs using G/M Code programming, Conversational Programming, CAD/CAM software, Fusion 360, and Esprit. Set up and operate CNC machines including mills, lathes, and multi-axis equipment. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and models to manufacture 1st article components. Machine products with a firm understanding of GD&T specifications. Identify work-holding, tool selection, setup, and offsets to ensure efficient machining. Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust programs for improved productivity and accuracy. Run first article inspections and ensure parts meet quality standards. Maintain proper documentation of programs, setups, and revisions. Collaborate with engineering and production team members to improve processes and cycle times. Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, safe work environment. ⸻ Required Qualifications 3+ years of CNC programming and machining experience. Strong experience with CNC programming and CAM software is required. Ability to read and interpret engineering models, technical drawings and GD&T. Knowledge of work-holding, tooling, feeds/speeds, and machining processes. Experience with machine setup and operation (Mill and Lathe experience required.) Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. ⸻ Preferred Qualifications Experience with 5-axis machining and programming preferred. Familiarity with advanced CAD/CAM systems. Experience working with stainless and nickel super-alloy materials. Experience working with threading, tight tolerances and complex geometries.
