Job Description
Experienced Optician Do you love delivering a customized experience in optical or luxury retail? Would you like to help people select high end products that actually change their lives? Read on! BeSpoke Vision needs an Experienced Optician who will help contribute to the best patient service experience. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with a team of compassionate and engaging professionals to provide exceptional care and a top tier experience to our patients! In this role, you will assist patients with choosing multiple sets of eyewear that suit their style, hobbies, preferences and prescription; fill, order, dispense and adjust glasses and sunglasses; make accurate notes in our EHR; communicate with patients via phone and text; process financial transactions; greet and serve walk-in customers and more. This is a full-time position offering the stability of a career in healthcare and
NO WEEKENDS
!Pay range:
$18- $22 hourly Prior eyecare or opticianry experience will be prioritized, but not absolutely required.
Requirements:
- Great work ethic
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years successful high end or medical customer service or retail experience
- The supreme ability to inspire confidence in patients and peers
- High degree of professionalism
- Ability to confidently work autonomously; knowing when to ask questions
- Positive outlook
- Strong desire to help people
- Proficient with computers and technology
- A sense of urgency without sacrificing thoroughness
- The ability to confidently approach patients and guide financial discussions

- Insurance/Billing Experience
- ABO or CPO Certification
- Lab experience
- Associate Degree Physical requirements:
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds
Dress Code:

- Business Professional in a color coordinated schedule, a visual attire guide will be provided
- and we give a wardrobe reimbursement stipend! Some of your duties will include:
- Guiding patients through lens selection, measuring and collecting payment
- Checking patients out and scheduling appointments
- Frame styling patients
- Having personable and meaningful conversations with patients and achieving objectives in a timely manner
- Dispensing and adjusting glasses for patients
- Processing patient paperwork into our software system
- Greeting and serving walk-in customers
- Keeping a tidy workstation and frame collection
- Managing a list of to-do's, coordinating with patients as needed
- Verifying lenses from the lab
- Preparing eyewear dispenses
- Continuing to build on and exceed the patient service experience
- Contributing meaningfully during department and team meetings
- Coordinating with the Optical Director
- Continual Self Development
