The Role The Shipping and Winlock Facilities Manager is a working managerial position and is primarily responsible for managing the daily operations and activities of the reload facility. This position will also be operating a forklift to load and unload material and products and move, locate, and stack fencing units. The Shipping and Facilities Manager will report directly to the Director of Operations and support the Corporate Shipping Supervisor. This position will also lead the team and ensure adherence to all applicable site policies and procedures fairly and consistently. Responsibilities Operations & Facility Maintenance Oversee daily facility operations, ensuring all utilities function properly. Respond to and coordinate facilities-related repair or project work. Maintain stock levels and parts within budget. Keep walkways, yards, and miscellaneous units organized and clear of debris. Report any damage or problems to equipment or facility to manager Team Leadership & Culture Lead and supervise employees to support teamwork and cooperation. Actively support a culture of performance excellence. Use radio equipment to communicate instructions for loading and unloading. Compliance, Safety & Security Ensure compliance with state, federal, health, and safety regulations. Oversee security of buildings and grounds. Comply with Alta Forest Products' safety standards. Ensure daily forklift inspection sheets are completed before operation. Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area daily. Inventory, Quality & Labor Oversight Manage product inventory, stock rotation, and unit consolidation. Ensure inbound and outbound shipping documents are accurate. Verify products are free of damage, debris, mud, or sawdust. Oversee the safe loading, unloading, and movement of merchandise. Repackage, restack, and barcode units of fencing. Assemble V-boards, Rail Packs, and Stack Packs. Operate forklifts safely to move, stack, and stage materials as required. Perform other duties as assigned.Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years of age; have a high school diploma or GED; have a valid state-issued driver's license; must have at least 3+ years of forklift experience. Previous experience leading or managing people and general knowledge of HR principles and practices. Knowledge of OSHA and other safety and environmental regulations Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities management. Must be well organized, detail-oriented, and a self-starter Employees must be able to read, speak, and understand English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must Must have the ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues Employees must be able to work effectively independently and within a small team of employees To perform this job successfully, an individual needs to know basic computer and data entry skills Ability to solve problems involving several options PIT Certification Required (training received onsite) Work Environment This role will operate in a heavy industrial environment. While performing the duties of this job, employees will regularly be exposed to machinery and moving mechanical parts. This position will often be exposed to noise, hazards, airborne particulates, and temperature changes in indoor and outdoor weather conditions. Work will primarily be performed outdoors. Position Type/Travel This is a full-time position; overtime work may be required as projects or job duties demand. Travel for this position may be occasionally required. Monday-Friday 40 Hours a week, occasionally mandatory overtime. Physical Demands An employee must meet the physical demands described here to successfully perform this job's essential functions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be independently mobile. This position requires the occasional use of basic hand tools. The employee will need to lift or carry 25 pounds or more frequently and may sometimes be required to lift/move up to 100 pounds. This position requires standing, sitting, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping for extended lengths of time. Employees must frequently use their hands to finger, handle, feel, climb, or balance. Position Type/Travel/Schedule This position is exempt per FLSA guidelines and not eligible for overtime per state and federal guidelines. A typical schedule requires the ability to work 40 hours a week. Flexibility to work evenings or weekends to accommodate critical goals and objectives may be necessary.Benefits & Pay Starting Pay Range:
