Job Title:
Facilities Technician Job Description This role supports the overall upkeep, safety, and efficiency of a manufacturing facility by performing a wide range of facilities maintenance tasks. You will handle routine building and grounds maintenance, assist with basic industrial maintenance, and help organize the facility to support smooth production operations. Responsibilities Perform general facilities maintenance, including changing lightbulbs, light plumbing work, and routine cleaning to keep the building safe and functional. Organize work areas and storage spaces to improve efficiency and support a clean, orderly facility. Carry out basic carpentry tasks such as repairs, installations, and adjustments to fixtures and structures within the building. Perform painting and drywall work, including patching, finishing, and touch-ups to maintain a professional appearance of the facility. Maintain the building and grounds, including routine inspections and minor repairs to ensure a well-kept environment. Assist with and learn basic industrial maintenance activities under guidance, contributing to the upkeep of machinery and equipment. Change furnace filters and perform simple HVAC-related upkeep as directed. Complete machine oil changes and other basic preventive maintenance tasks on equipment as assigned. Handle floor cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, and operating floor-cleaning equipment as needed. Collect and remove trash and recyclables from designated areas to maintain cleanliness and order. Perform some welding and metal fabrication tasks when required, supporting facility and equipment repairs or small projects. Proactively identify and communicate potential facility issues, improvements, or projects, and assist in implementing solutions. Follow safety procedures and best practices while using tools, equipment, and materials in all maintenance activities. Essential Skills Facilities maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or similar environment. Hands-on experience with general facility upkeep, including lighting, light plumbing, and basic cleaning tasks. Practical skills in carpentry, including basic repairs and installations. Ability to perform painting and drywall work, including patching and finishing. Familiarity with basic troubleshooting of building and facility issues. Comfort working with tools and equipment commonly used in facility maintenance. Ability to follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area. Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying maintenance needs. Additional Skills & Qualifications Welding and metal fabrication experience (nice to have). Experience with light industrial maintenance or basic mechanical work. Interest in learning and developing industrial maintenance skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with shop personnel. Strong organizational skills to support efficient use of space and resources. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in a shop environment with approximately 40 employees. The standard schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., providing a four-day workweek with extended daytime shifts. You will work in a hands-on setting around manufacturing equipment, tools, and machinery, performing both indoor and occasional outdoor tasks to maintain the building and grounds. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of North Branch, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $62400.00/yr. Full insurance coverage, medical, dental, vision, 401k. Direct hire, training provided. Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in North Branch,MN.
