Job Description

Job Title:
Maintenance Technician Job Description This role focuses on maintaining and improving a variety of manufacturing equipment and machines in a shop environment. You will perform mechanical and electrical maintenance, troubleshoot issues on both modern and older equipment, and create and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance schedule to keep production running smoothly. Responsibilities Maintain and repair mechanical machines and production equipment to ensure reliable operation. Troubleshoot and repair heavy electrical systems, including 480V equipment, switches, and related components. Diagnose and service pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including air cylinders and associated controls. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machines to minimize downtime and ensure accurate operation. Create, implement, and manage a preventative maintenance schedule for all equipment in the shop. Perform maintenance on newer robotic arms as needed, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. Inspect and service older, more manual equipment, identifying issues before they lead to equipment failure. Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical documentation to support maintenance and repair activities. Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage to support ongoing equipment reliability. Collaborate with production and leadership to prioritize maintenance tasks and coordinate equipment downtime. Essential Skills Industrial maintenance experience with a focus on mechanical and machine maintenance (required). Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment, including older, more manual machines. Proficiency working with heavy electrical systems, including 480V equipment (required). Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints (required). Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics, including troubleshooting and repair. Experience in maintaining CNC machines and related control systems. Capability to develop and execute preventative maintenance schedules. Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Familiarity with robotics maintenance, including robotic arms. Attention to detail and a safety-focused approach when working with high-voltage and complex equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing shop environment. Comfort working with a mix of modern robotic equipment and older, more manual machinery. Ability to work independently and take ownership of the maintenance function. Strong communication skills to coordinate with production and other team members. Organizational skills to track maintenance tasks, parts, and equipment history. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in a shop environment with approximately 40 employees. The standard work schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Rare, mandatory overtime may be required on Fridays, depending on maintenance needs; this can range from 3 in a row, to once in 6 months, based on equipment repair demands. Fridays are dedicated to maintenance and repairs rather than production work, allowing focused time on equipment reliability and improvement. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of North Branch, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70720.00 - $81120.00/yr. Full insurance coverage, medical, dental, vision, 401k. Direct hire, training provided. Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in North Branch,MN.
