Facility Maintenance Manufacturing

Overview We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility by performing maintenance and repairs on various equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial mechanics and be proficient in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. Responsibilities Conduct regular inspections of facility equipment to identify maintenance needs and ensure optimal performance. Analyze schematics and blueprints to understand system layouts and troubleshoot issues effectively. Perform low voltage electrical work, including wiring, circuit testing, and repairs. Utilize stick welding techniques for equipment repairs and modifications as necessary. Operate an ammeter to measure electrical current and diagnose electrical problems. Maintain hydraulic systems by performing routine checks, repairs, and replacements as needed. Collaborate with field service teams to address equipment malfunctions in a timely manner. Document maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for record-keeping purposes. Solicit quotes for facility improvements, PM and repairs (parts and service) Clear drains, plunge toilets as needed Data entry into CMMS system, (2-3 Hours Daily) Replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments relative to facility equipment Perform regular preventive maintenance on facilities (

EX:

HVAC Filter, Belt and light bulbs, ballast changes) Install plumbing, water, air Use a variety of tools, multi meters (hot stick) and material Must work summer and winter shutdowns to support PMs and projects Complete bi-weekly oil and coolant inventory. Monitor and make arrangements for oil house pit pump out Monitor and make arrangements for metal scrap and chip dumpsters change out Skills Strong understanding of industrial mechanics and maintenance procedures. Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Experience with low voltage electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques. Knowledge of stick welding processes and safety protocols. Familiarity with using an ammeter for electrical diagnostics. Solid understanding of hydraulic systems and their maintenance requirements. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting issues.
