Hiring Agency Education & Labor Cabinet | Department of Education Location 146 Musketeer Drive Greenup, KY 41144 USA Description The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) Office of Career and Technical Education (OCTE) operates 50 Area Technology Centers (ATCs) which serve 115 local feeder districts. A state Area Technology Center (ATC) is a secondary state operated school facility dedicated to the primary purpose of offering state approved four (4)- course Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways within CTE program areas identified by the OCTE. Coordinates and plans the maintenance services of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment in accordance with Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) standards. Coordinates with supervisors and facility managers to prioritize work orders and allocate resources efficiently. Performs carpentry repairs to buildings and equipment. Performs painting on buildings and equipment. Makes routine plumbing repairs, sewage systems, and electrical repairs on equipment. Operates machinery and equipment in the mowing and trimming of lawn. Paints surfaces such as walls, doors, and other surfaces as required. Moves furniture, equipment, etc when necessary. Performs janitorial duties in maintaining buildings and adjacent areas. Performs other duties as assigned. Applicants and employees in this classification may be required to submit to a drug screening test and background check.
