Basic Function:
Teach composition and developmental composition courses at the Geauga Campus location. This position is on the non-tenure track instructional track. Additional Basic Function - if applicable:
Examples of Duties:
Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following: Develop and teach courses to undergraduate students in online and face-to-face modalities. Additional Examples of Duties - if applicable:
Minimum Qualifications:
M.A. in English or M.A. in Rhetoric & Composition and two years of teaching developmental composition. Proficiency with LMS platforms (current platform is Canvas). Course development experience. Highly effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to convey conceptual and complex ideas and information.
Preferred Qualifications - if applicable:
Demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching, including experience teaching composition at a regional campus or a community college.

Physical Requirements:
Light work-Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Incumbent must be able to communicate with others. Incumbent may be required to travel from building to building frequently and off campus occasionally.
