About the Facility Location Washington offers diverse outdoor experiences spanning national parks, waterfront areas, and mountain regions. Visitors can explore Mt. Rainier National Park, Olympic National Park's green spaces and hiking trails in Port Angeles, and Lake Quinault with its Rain Forest Nature Trail. The area features marine activities in Puget Sound alongside mountain recreation including hiking and camping, with wildlife and whale watching tours available from nearby locations. About the Clinician's Workday The nurse practitioner will provide comprehensive occupational medicine services Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, managing 20-25 patients daily with 90% occupational medicine cases and 10% urgent care. Clinical responsibilities include diagnosing and treating work-related injuries, performing pre-placement, DOT, public safety, and surveillance physical examinations for private companies and governmental agencies, and evaluating urgent care patients on a walk-in basis. The position requires DOT certification prior to starting and involves completing all documentation using AllScripts EMR system while maintaining professional behaviors. New clinicians receive one week of orientation alongside a permanent physician before working independently.
