Company Description Family Health Associates of the Kanawha Valley provides comprehensive family medical care to the South Charleston community and surrounding areas. Located in the Charleston-Huntington area of West Virginia, the practice is dedicated to delivering personalized, high-quality care to individuals and families of all ages. With a focus on serving the local community, Family Health Associates fosters a patient-centered approach to healthcare that emphasizes wellness and preventive care. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role located in South Charleston for a dedicated Family Physician. Responsibilities include providing primary care, diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses, managing urgent care needs, and performing physical examinations. The Family Physician will work collaboratively with other healthcare providers to ensure high-quality patient care while emphasizing preventive and community health approaches. Physicians are also expected to establish long-term, trust-based relationships with patients and their families. Qualifications Strong expertise in Primary Care and Family Medicine Experience in diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions in Urgent Care and Community Health settings Thorough knowledge of medical best practices and a patient-centered approach to care Effective communication and collaboration skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members Current and valid medical license to practice in West Virginia Board Certification in Family Medicine or related field Commitment to serving diverse patient populations
