Farm Equipment Operator

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Farm Equipment Operator to join our dynamic agricultural team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a wide range of farm machinery and heavy equipment to support planting, harvesting, tillage, etc. Your expertise will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of farm operations, contributing to the overall productivity and health of the farm. Responsibilities Operate heavy machinery such as tractors, harvesters, plows, and loaders to perform planting, cultivating, harvesting, and transportation tasks. Maintain and repair farm equipment using hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and basic mechanical knowledge to ensure optimal functionality. Supervise other farm workers when necessary, providing guidance on equipment operation and safety procedures. Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities; perform preventative maintenance or coordinate repairs as needed. Support growing activities by planting seeds, transplanting seedlings, and maintaining horticultural practices in greenhouses or outdoor fields. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery maintenance and repair. Ability to operate forklifts, heavy equipment, power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment safely. Familiarity with farming operations including crop cultivation, and equipment maintenance. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to planting or feeding schedules.
