Job Description

Why This Role Matters In Sublette County, fresh local produce is harder to get than it should be. The growing season is short, towns are spread out, and much of what reaches grocery store shelves is picked for freight instead of flavor. Silver Stream Farm exists to change that. We grow nourishing food year-round at 8,000 feet and deliver it across Sublette and Teton counties. The Farm to Community Associate makes that promise real. You are the link between what we grow and the people we grow it for: the friendly face at pickup, the steady presence customers recognize, and the person who helps local food feel personal, reliable, and close to home. Role Overview You'll pack and load produce, drive routes between Pinedale, Bondurant, Jackson, and Wilson in a farm-owned Ford Transit Cargo Van, deliver orders to pickup locations, and represent the farm with care. This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys driving, works well independently, communicates clearly, and takes pride in reliable service. The position is seasonal to start, with the potential to grow into year-round work. As the season progresses, we'll check in together to see whether it feels like a strong long-term fit on both sides. If it does, we expect to have work available beyond September, with responsibilities shaped by farm needs and the person's strengths. Key Responsibilities Driving and Delivery Pack, load, and organize produce deliveries with care to preserve quality and presentation Safely operate a Ford Transit Cargo Van on regular routes up to 150 miles round trip Follow scheduled delivery times and maintain accurate delivery records Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and farm operating procedures Customer and Community Experience Serve as a trusted weekly face of the farm for customers at pickup locations, delivery stops, and markets Answer questions about products, pickup logistics, and farm offerings Notice customer questions, preferences, or recurring issues and communicate them back to the farm team Help build the kind of local food system where customers know who grew their food, who brought it to them, and why that matters Farmers Markets Assist with Saturday farmer's markets and be ready to run the booth independently by mid-summer Load market supplies, set up the booth, restock products, and break down at the end of market Support customer sales and product conversations Qualifications and Requirements Valid standard driver's license with a clean driving record. Commercial Driver's License is not required Comfortable driving a cargo van in varied weather and road conditions, including through Hoback Canyon Able to lift and carry produce boxes and market supplies up to 40 pounds Strong customer service skills, clear communication, and reliable follow-through Comfortable working independently once trained and following food safety, vehicle safety, and farm safety expectations References required upon request
